Cambodia - Day2

Arun sour sdei (Good Morning). It's American Breakfast but add one more dish; Cambodian Fried Rice.

Here we are.

Fifth destination: Angkor Thom - biggest Buddhist temple (825years old). These temple surrounded by female maid.

It was built from 1180-1220AD by great Khmer King Jayavarman VII dedicated to Bodhisattva Lokesvara.

Saw that statue? It is the soldiers holding the 7head snake body. Snake head represent rainbow that bring people to heaven. You can see this statue everywhere, no matter is house, hotel or shop.

The temple got two back gate. This is front gate where people from Government or king, queen, prince, princess and people who work in palace. Back gate; victory gate for military who won the war and another gate is........ I forgot what gate is it. But I know the victory gate is only for the soldiers who won the war.

They destroy down the Buddha statue which I circle it in pink.

They are the victim of land-mines who playing the music instrument.You can donate to them if you want to. But I pity the kids, young kids came out to earn money. They keep begging us to help them to buy things. Nazrin said the literacy here are very low and uneducated. They learn to earn money from eldest.

The trees are around the temple. It grow anywhere but then it grow between the building that it makes the building unstable.

Restructuring the temple.

They build up the steal things to support the tree so that it easy for them to chop down.

After had our lunch, we went for our next destination. Temple again!! Uncle Aunt all surrender. They asked Nazrin to cancel all the temple visit today. Then Nazrin suggested to go for Gem Shop. While having our visit they, received an emergency call so got to take flight back to KL.
