Turkey - Day 2 Istanbul to Canakkale

Sabah Iyi (Good Morning). Had our breakfast in the hotel. American Breakfast. We been told by Ali, our tour guide that today tour will be rushing and asked to be on time so that we can catch on ferry to Canakkale on time. From Istanbul to Canakkale is about 2.5 hours.

First destination: Bosphorus Cruise. Bosphorus known as the Istanbul Strait which forms part of the boundary between Europe and Asia. The world's narrowest strait used for international seafaring A cruise that you able see Istanbul tourist attraction Taking the cruise able to see Instanbul from different view, expensive houses and great palaces. There are two bridges that span the Istanbul

The abandoned palace and the second bridge. Yup, the weather is bad.

Next destination: Taksim Square. It is a place where it attract tourists and famed for its restaurants, hotels and shops. It is also known as the heart of modern Istanbul. The monument was crafted byPietro Canonica and was introduced in 1928.

Next destination:  Kapalicarsi Grand Bazaar. It's one of the largest covered markets in the world with 60 streets and 5,000 shops. it's well known for its jewellery, hand painted ceramics, carpets, antique shops, spices, leathers and gold jewellery. This bazaar has been an important trading since 1461.




Next destination: Lunch time.

Next destination: The Hippodrome. This place was a horse racing track. During Byzantine Empire, coronations, parades and court ceremonies took place at the Hippodrome. It's a social and sports center of Byzantine life for over 1000 years.

Next destination:The Dardanelles. We crossed the second strategic water bay, The Dardanelles and the land in Europe side of Turkey. We took ferry to Canakkale for an hour. Overnight at Canakkale.
